John:
Are you guys on twitter?

You can follow us in identi.ca here: http://identi.ca/group/kdeforums

Paul999:
So you are saying that the MySQL fulltext is crap? What makes you say that?

I did not say that. But it is always true that sphinx is a more scalable search backend. We found it harder to deal with 2 million index rows in the db, so we switched to sphinx.

jinx:
Do you plan to restart the klassroom project? Why did it die out?

We do. For one, it was discontinued as we went short on volunteers who were willing to conduct a kourse as a mentor.

Samantha:
Ooh.. just noticed KDE brainstorm.. nice stuff..
How do you manage to have ajax for the whole interface? Is it native to your board software? If it’s GPL, where can I get the code?

It uses an xmlhttp AJAX script. It can be found at our code repository here: http://gitorious.org/kde-forum-mods

awilson:
I am willing to work as forum moderator on a paid basis. If you are interested, drop me a mail at wilson@gmx.com

Thank you for the offer. We do not recruit staff on full time / paid basis. KDE Forum staff are volunteers who devote their precious time in managing the forums.
